Hip hop, ska, rap, blues, jazz: the new Just Cavalli Eyewear collection by Marcolin is inspired by the music tastes of the young and their desire to express their personality through old and new songs. Frequently contradictory, they are divided between what’s new and the attraction of the past. This continual swing between admiration for old 33 rpm vinyl records and a passion for songs on modern Mp3s in a search for the balance that will interpret their changing personalities, is the concept of the collection’s 7 eyewear families.
The 2 new sunglasses families in acetate are called “Rap” and “Rock”. The two “Rap” models have wide front pieces with slightly rounded edges and large temples. The “Rock” model is a wraparound and features the metal JC logo between the temples and the front piece.
There are 5 vision families: “Hip Hop” has two combos in which the metal front piece is combined with sinuous injected temples which enclose the JC monogram.
Two of the three models in the “Jazz” family are also combos and the third is in pantographed acetate. The detail common to all three models is the metal decoration on the temples enclosing C Just Cavalli.
A metal stirrup set into the outside of the temples is the detail featured in the two models of the “Blues” family.
The “Country” family has two pantographed acetate models with milled edges and faceted surfaces.
The “Ska” family has only one model, which is very light and decorated with a small tricolor on the front piece.
